Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mix of good and not-so-good experiences. The rooms were beautifully done, but the location was not the best due to noise issues. The staff, however, provided exceptional service that went above and beyond my expectations.
My stay at the hotel was delightful. The rooms were large, modern, and impeccably clean, although a bit too warm at times. The level of comfort was exactly what you would expect from a luxurious 5-star hotel.
The hotel is like the building next to it was beautiful and clean in a very good localization. The rooms were new, modern, and very clean. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming, going above and beyond consistently from front desk to dining room personnel, making us feel welcomed in Santa Margaritha, a very charming and lively city. The location is excellent for its food, ease of access, whether by train or boat, and conviviality, even though it felt like it was on a power-saving mode in the middle of the night. The dining experience was very nice with fresh pastries and fruit of a very high standard.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of pros and cons. The location was ideal, just a stone's throw from the main seafront, making it easy to explore the area. However, the room with a rather small queen size bed didn't meet the standard I expected from a 5-star hotel.
The hotel had spacious, nicely furnished, and very clean rooms, but the windows didn't open easily which made an early start inconvenient. The service was welcoming and helpful despite some issues with supply replenishment. The location was extremely close to everything in Santa Margherita Ligure, offering convenience but lacking coastal views. The dining had a good variety of food items but nothing particularly special. Overall, a comfortable stay with attentive service and a superb location.
The hotel is quite a mixed bag. While the rooms were very spacious and clean, the fact that they did not have a shower over the bath and are not suitable for elderly guests using wheelchairs like my 89-year-old mother was a major downside. The service was friendly and accommodating, with excellent English skills, yet the failure to replenish supplies for 3 adult guests was a letdown. The location is excellent for both summer and winter visits, making it a convenient choice, but the dining experience, though well-assorted and of quality, could be better in terms of service. The hotel facilities were satisfactory, but improvements could be made to make it more inclusive for all guests.
My stay at the Santa Margherita Palace was a mixed experience. The rooms were supposed to be a 'suite' but weren't ready upon arrival, yet they eventually turned out to be beautiful, clean, and spacious. The friendly service staff were happy to chat in English or our poor Italian, always willing to go the extra mile. The location is ideal, just 100m from the main seafront, making it a convenient place to explore the Ligurian coast. However, the hotel breakfast wasn't included and seemed overpriced. Dining was more than adequate, offering options for those intolerant to gluten and lactose. The facilities were substantial, ensuring a pleasant stay.
